Outlook Express E-mail set-up

Launch Outlook Express located on your desk-top or task bar.

In the menu click on "Tools" and go to "Accounts".

Click on the "Mail" tab and choose the "FASTBYTES" mail account and click on "Properties".

Select the "General" tab.

In the top portion labeled "Mail Account" enter:  mail.fastbytes.com

Next to "Name" type in your real name or the name you would like e-mail recipients to see.

Enter your company name next to "Organization" (or leave blank).

In the areas labeled "E-mail Address" and "Reply Address" enter your full e-mail address, which is your e-mail name taken from your contract agreement followed by:  @fastbytes.com - use all lower case letters.

Then click on the "Servers" tab.

In the area next to "Outgoing Mail (SMTP)" enter:  mail.fastbytes.com
In the area next to "Incoming Mail (POP3)" enter:  mail.fastbytes.com

"My incoming mail server is a - POP3 - server."

Select the radio button next to "Log on using" and fill in the "Account Name" and "Password" with the names taken from your contract agreement

Next click on the "Connection" tab.

Choose "Connect using my phone line", (unless you are on a LAN, then check with your network administrator).

In the area labeled "Modem" select "FASTBYTES" as your dial-up connection in the pop-up menu. Click "OK" and you're ready to send and receive e-mail.
